Hal R. Schweiger, CFP®
Hal Schweiger is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a member of the exclusive fee-only National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA). He heads up the pension and trusts divisions of Blue Water Capital Management, LLC. Mr. Schweiger's expertise was honed through personal experiences in managing family trusts assets over ten years. This gives him the insight that only accompanies trustees that deal with family members as family dynamics change. Hal also directs the pension division, which insures that business owners are able to recover their investment from the firms they start. Mr. Schweiger insures that his clients' companies have appropriate pension plans in place that maximize the retirement income of the owner and employee alike.
Hal is active in his Scripps Ranch community as a volunteer since he retired from AT&T. He has coached over twenty sports teams and served as a treasurer of several non-profit civic organizations in the community. Hal has served as Director of Public Awareness for the Board of Directors of the Financial Planning Association of San Diego. Hal's clients benefit from working with a professional whose extensive financial expertise was developed during his twenty years at one of the world's largest companies. In addition, his strategic thinking, insightful analyses and dependable advice were used in business acquisitions that reached $6 billion dollars.
Mr. Schweiger holds a BBA in Finance and an MA in Economics from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.
Hal has appeared several times on television station KGTV 10 in San Diego and KOGO 600AM radio to discuss the benefits of financial planning and share his expertise on the subject. He has also appeared in the Bloomberg Wealth Manager, Registered Rep Magazine, The San Diego Union Tribune, and MSN Money.

Joan M. O'Connell, CFP®, MsBA
Joan O’Connell is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional at Blue Water Capital Management, LLC, and provides financial planning and investment advisory services to individual and business clients.
Prior to joining Blue Water Capital Management, LLC, Joan worked in several capacities for financial services and technology firms. As Vice-President, Retirement Plan Consultant for Nicholas Applegate Capital Management and Vice-President, Regional Retirement Plan Manager for Seligman Financial Services, Joan was responsible for helping plan sponsors select and implement defined contribution plans and investment options. Joan has also acted as a consultant to several technology firms, providing technical communication services and project management for their products or services.
Ms. O’Connell sits on the board of directors for The Paradigm Group Consulting, Inc., a health-services software consulting firm, and has served as Treasurer for her homeowner’s association. She is also a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), and the Financial Planning Association (FPA).
Joan holds a M.S. degree in Business Administration from San Diego State University and a B.S. degree in Finance from Indiana University. Joan lives in San Diego and enjoys outdoor activities including running and cycling.

Terrance A. Green, CFP®, MsBA
Terry Green is the Managing Director of Blue Water Capital Management, LLC, a fee-only financial advisory firm located in San Diego, California. Mr. Green is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional (CFP), and is well versed in the areas that constitute comprehensive financial planning. Clients benefit from his educational and interactive planning approach. They also benefit from his Recommended Action Checklist, a detailed, step-by-step list of specific recommendations, and his periodic progress check-ups.
Terry approaches investment management from a best practices standpoint and is always researching ways to improve the process. His recent thesis for his MBA was an original research project that studied the implications of asset placement (which asset classes should go in which type of accounts) and how state taxes, reinvestment, and changes in tax policy would affect the decision-making process.
Mr. Green has served on the Board of Directors for the non-profit organization Volunteer San Diego and was involved with their Social Enterprise committee. Mr. Green has also served on the Board of Directors for The Financial Planning Association (FPA) of San Diego . He is also a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), an exclusive organization of fee-only financial planners.
Terry earned his Master's of Science in the Entrepreneurship Program at San Diego State University studying new venture and small business management. He holds a BBA in Finance and Management Information Systems from Ohio University. His career began with McDonald & Company working in the areas of portfolio administration, fixed-income trading, and financial planning. In 2000, Terry became 'enlightened' and left the Wall Street world to begin working as an independent financial advisor.
Mr. Green has been a periodic columnist for the Del Mar Village Voice, Carmel Valley News, and Rancho Santa Fe Review. His other media appearances include The San Diego Union Tribune, Money, Kiplinger's, and Investment News. He and his family live in San Diego and enjoy a variety of outdoor activities.
